I live in SA for two years and it’s not for me. As a 29 year old black male I never felt the connection and welcoming feeling living here and came across a lot of flaky and inconsistent locals trying to be friend and the dating scene is straight garbage here.

Have intentions to relocate to Houston this summer and I don’t want to make the same mistake again. Please let me know what neighborhood or neighborhoods are going to be the best options for a young straight single black male who can make connections and have opportunities for social activities and other good perks?

Also too I don’t make 6 figures but I don’t wanna be too cheap and compromise on my safety so is it reasonable to get a 1 bedroom for 1000-1200 a month in the neighborhood in question?

How rough are the H town summers compared to San Antonio? And what else should I know about living in Houston compared to other cities?
