Retirement is clearly not working for me.
As a few of you know me, I'm not really a typical person who lives the retirement lifestyle, so I've been thinking of different ventures.
So here I am.
If anyone has been to Minneapolis, there's a business called "sex world," and I'm pondering opening one up here using that as(s) a model to replicate it, sans museum.
To the uninitiated, sex world is a sex/fetish related "super store" that carries a large variety of sexual and fetish related products. While the Minneapolis location has multiple floors, I don't know if I'm that ambitious.
My plan is to take advantage of the drop in retail space glut and offer a sizable location that could potentially be a destination for those in the lifestyle.
To combat Amazon's attack on local business, I also plan on an e-commerce aspect to mitigate that.
Do you think it might fly in Houston?
Obviously, it will take a couple of years to develop, but it might be at least an interesting, if expensive, academic exercise.
Edit: included more thoughts on it.
