Hi everyone,
I am looking for advice about my monstera adansonii cutting (pic attached). I received a rooted cutting from a neighborhood plant exchange a few weeks ago and have been continuing to grow it in water. The root is a few inches long and one of the leaves is beginning to get some discoloration so I was thinking it may be time to transfer to soil. However, the online videos I've watched show cuttings that have grown entire balls of roots where mine just has one large root and two very small ones.
How extensive do the roots need to be before planting my monstera? Do you have any other advice for getting this plant established and caring for it?
I appreciate any tips as this is a plant I've been wanting for a while but is a little outside of my comfort zone (I mostly keep succulents). Thanks!
