I need help with my monstera.

I’ve only ever had small house plants, nothing this big. I rescued this plant from my friend who had it in their basement.
I knew it needed more light. I think it needs a moss pole. And I really think it needs a smaller pot. The current pot is 11” around and 12” deep.
I also cannot tell if the yellow leaf and brown spots are burning from direct sun (it’s only been in the window for 24 hours) but I think it’s overwatering. Can anyone confirm these thoughts or offer me advice?
