Monstera Help - What is this long arm thing and what do I do with it?

Finally found a spot with the right lighting for my monstera and she's growing new leaves (last owner took many cuttings to sell and I bought the remaining plant about 1 year ago.
We had our lessons I had to learn but she's thriving now. But now there's this branch coming out and it is growing EXTREMELY fast and towards light. Idk what to do with this. Help.
