My sister Ann's I have recently really bonded and gotten close after my cancer diagnosis, she's been really supportive when the rest of my family have been cold. She even got me tickets to go with and see my favorite band for my birthday in January cuz she knows I cannot go by myself anymore.

Long story short she's starting to get into plants since she's seen mine. I've seen exotic plant conventions and shows and expos online but idk which is actually affordable and fun? I want to go together with her and buy her her first exotic plant as a token of my gratitude for just being a really great sister and friend.

Any advice? Am I too late or too early to catch one? I saw TPIE is coming up but it looks intimidating. What are your experiences? Anyone been to any shows?
