I’ve had multiple infestations that all of my other plants have survived. I continue to use insecticidal soap and Neem oil when cleaning the leaves and the systemic granules in the soil. I don’t see the pests like I have before, but the leaves continue to brown and I’m not sure if it’s pests or what at this point. I trim them down to almost nothing if the browning covers the majority of the leaves. It’ll start back promising, but then go back to dying within a few weeks. This black magic elephant ear (grown from bulb) in particular just will not grow a leaf more than a few inches before the browning and shriveling begins.
The palm did experience overwatering while I was away for a few weeks. It also struggled through a severe infestation that created a ton of worms and eggs after using organic soil from Amazon. I repotted and it seemed to do fine until the browning began…
I don’t think it’s the sunlight. They all were healthy earlier this year for a few months and haven’t been moved since.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
