What do I do about this Mother of Millions?

This plant is a curse; it’s like a Dr.Seuss plant. Can I chop and propagate it or will it kill the big one to do that? I know it’s replicating itself like crazy, I find babies from it in every one of my houseplants which is why it’s now surrounded by pots of its children. Anyway, main question is; do I just eventually throw out the mother plant and carry on its life through a baby? Or do I cut it somehow and it’ll grow shoots from its sides?
