Discoloration of plastic on a less than one year old Marquis spa

Post Body

Hi All,

I have a almost one year old Marquis Vector 21 (2022) model hottub which has been simply awesome for me and my family. The only thing is that gradually over the past year I have noticed that the plastic trim pieces have got discolored - almost like they have been bleached by the sun but that is definitely not the case because i am super OCD when it comes to care and maintenance. I will say i switched from the frog @ease smartchlor in-line system to bromine floater/MPS shock and maybe i have had short periods in the first few months where the PH and sanitizer levels were sky high due to me getting used to balancing water chemistry but i can't believe any mistakes i made at the beginning would contribute to the discoloration i am seeing. I am also wondering if it is just bromine scaling or scaling in general though every week i add a stain and scale solution. PH is 7.5 on average (tested with a taylor kit) and bromine levels are on average in the 2-4ppm range. Any thoughts or ideas i can try to return the finish to how it was when it was new?
