Cut my losses or fix?

Post Body

Iā€™ve posted before on the status of my old 1998 Beachcomber. Iā€™m basically finished with what I guess could be described as a ā€œsoft rebuildā€ - I took out a lot of foam insulation, reinsulated, fixed minor leak in thermo coupler, swapped the light, and replaced an O ring. I was planning to redo the siding over the summer. Well after taking a test dip last night, I noticed thereā€™s a somewhat substantial leak in the pipe that goes from the filter to the jets. You canā€™t see any hole or anything, itā€™s just leaking from the joint. My friend who works for a local pool/spa company and whoā€™s helped me in the past said to cut my losses. He said ā€œOh yeah definitely would cut my losses. Not too easy of a fix since itā€™s a glued joint.ā€

I trust him, but Iā€™m wondering what people on this forum think? If itā€™s not super hard and not crazy expensive, Iā€™ll go for it haha
