Any Oil-Based Hot Sauce Recipes?
Post Body

I've really been interested in making a sauce along the lines of Torchbearer's Garlic Reaper sauce. Creamy and rich while heavily leaning on the peppers and garlic.

It appears to be and oil based sauce though which is where I am unsure of how to proceed. I've looked all over but haven't seen any recipes that seem to be oil based. Should I start out by essentially making a hot chili oil, adding in some garlic as I simmer the peppers in the oil, letting it cool, and then adding I'm my remaining seasonings and some vinegar, simmering a bit longer and then pureeing everything together?

I understand the possible concerns in regards to spoilage, but kept refrigerated and for personal use I don't think a small batch should have much to be a problem.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I'm sure that people have experimented with this before, if you have come across anything that would pertain to this I could use all the help I can. Thanks!
