So, I stay at extended stays for work very often. One of the things I do when I get to a hotel is just sort of see where everything is - sometimes they tell me at check in but it's usually a barrage of information so I just sort of scope out the hotel to see where everything I need might be-- i.e. laundry, gym, any recreational activities, and lobby bathrooms (sometimes I just gotta go when I get back, you know?) In addition, it's also fairly common for me to make wrong turns or go too far when I'm going somewhere - especially after a nap or something. like, for example, where I'm staying out now, I went past the gym and almost reached the lobby and then turned back. This or similar probably happened 3 times now in the last month. Well, the staff has been I guess you might say extra friendly to me - like asking if I'm doing okay if I pass by, like, leaving the building for work or what not, or if they see me by the elevator. I noticed a camera by the elevator that would be close enough to the lobby that I could see the hotel staff perhaps thinking I was stalking or something like that, which was def not my intention. It was just that dreary feeling of forgetting where I was going, and now I'm curious/paranoid if the hotel staff basically just sits there and watches cameras when not dealing with guests. They're almost always in the back anytime I've needed something from them, so I assume they at least watch the front desk camera.
