Post Body

I’m moving from VA to CA with my senior dog. Any recommendations for dog friendly, safe, and affordable hotels. My car has my entire life in it so I don’t want to risk it parked over night in a not great area. I think I’ll be going the route that goes through Oklahoma City. I never stay in hotels or road trip so I’m overwhelmed by all of the options. I’m driving over three days so I may just split the time evenly and will only need two hotels. Any recommendations or advice from your experience?

Edit: due to the train derailment I am now at a random sketchy hotel that cost $200. did I have a panic attack in stand still traffic for two hours? yes. Is my three day trip now going to be four? Yes. Am I going to run out of money? Probably. Am I going to miss my first day of work? Probably.

Edit: The Oklahoma City best western was a good hotel for my first night thank you to those who mentioned best western.
