Games like Armored Core?

Looking to pick up some gear for games like MS Flight Simulator and Squadrons but are there games akin to Armored Core (AC) that is viable to play with HOTAS?
What about AC6? I know it's preferable to play it with a controller but the "coolness" factor of it and the pacing of the game is my itch.
