A few weeks ago I was asking for support because my Mom had to leave the hospice house. She was no longer declining. I was so scared because they had her doing so well. I am happy to report that she’s in her first week at a new skilled nursing facility and they are taking really good care of her. I was so worried because the last facility she was in( prior to the hospice house) nearly killed her by abruptly taking away her morphine and significantly cutting down her Ativan. It sent her into horrific withdrawals. She was violent towards herself, bloody and bruised. She couldn’t breathe. She is end stage COPD. They did this to her medications without even a discussion with her or her family!! We had no idea what was happening until we took her to the emergency room. She was hospitalized for a week. Today I am feeling so blessed and grateful to report that she is doing fantastic in her new nursing home and they are doing a beautiful job with her medications! I was so scared of her leaving the hospice house, but now I have a little more time with her. I have my Mom back for awhile! Thanks for listening 🥰🥰😀
