My wife and I are taking a week-long trip to California in the near future, and I never go anywhere without a book. I’m not looking for a horror book about vacations — not necessarily, anyways — just something to read while on vacation. Something that is a relatively fun/quick/easy read for when I just want to dip into something while stuck at 32,000 feet or before going to bed in our hotel room or cabin. Bonus if it’s horror that takes place in California, and/or if it’s something a little more outside of the usual recommendations found round these parts. Thanks in advance!
