New to Horror Lit. Are horror books a big genre? i watch a lot of horror movies but i dont read the books. How do you know when a new one comes out? How do people even find out about them?

Are horror books a big genre? i watch a lot of horror movies but i dont read the books. How do you know when a new one comes out? How do people even find out about them? With movies we have trailers and ads. But I never heard of horror books other than when they say a horror movie is based off a book (like stephen King).
