I'm a big horror fan, but it seems to me that the horror film market has been "troped" to death. My wife and I watched a trailer compilation (probably 20 or so upcoming film trailers) and EVERY SINGLE ONE had at least one, if not more, of Ye Olde Tried And True horror tropes. College friends reuniting in remote location, family with weird kid moves into new house, religious/demon/Satan whatever, jump scares IN THE TRAILER, spooky children's drawings, etc., etc., ad nauseum.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I stand corrected. I meant โcliches.โ
