Did Midnight Mass hit different while having religious trauma?
Post Body

This is a spoiler free post. Feel free to discuss details just grey them out or whatever

Yes this is functionally the same as the user who made a post about Midnight Mass talking about recovery. It’s a great discussion and I didn’t want to hijack that important subject.

I was raised Catholic and always had very charismatic priests. I also have religious trauma based in the new age conservative Christian evangelical side of things (because my parents encouraged me to go to church with friends if I didn’t want to get confirmed)

Now I’m a sex positive, Queer, religious pluralist soooo I have been through a lot.

Midnight Mass was both an incredibly triggering but also healing/satisfying experience. It definitely affected me waaaay more than my friends raised Jewish or Agnostic.

Did anyone relate while watching????
