Teacher, mother, secret lover. Dreadit's Best Horror Television Shows!
Post Body

YOU KNOW HOW WE DO THIS BY NOW, RIGHT?!

No? Okay, for those who don't ... we (the /r/horror denizens collectively known as Dreadit) are nominating our favorite/bestest ever TV SHOWS for the Dreadit wiki.

Pay attention here as our options have changed!

You enter a TV show like so:

  1. FORMAT: Title - Original Network - Category - Year of Initial Season

    Examples include:

    The Twilight Zone - CBS - Anthology - 1959

    The Twilight Zone - UPN - Anthology - 2002

    iZombie - The CW - Comedy - 2015

    The X-Files - Fox - Drama - 1993

    1. Just be sure to do a quick Google/Wiki search before submitting to make sure you get it right (Original Network in country of origin. Network in USA, if foreign, is a bonus). So when someone submits Black Mirror, we don't get both Channel 4 and Netflix as two separate submissions. Channel 4/Netflix would be most applicable for the bulk of our users.
  2. DOES MY SHOW COUNT?:

    1. Anthologies: For simplicity's sake, shows that change it up each season but still have the same base title are counted as a whole. (e.g. American Horror Story).
    2. Doc/Unscripted: Shows that aren't your standard 3-act structure with a lead character are accepted, so long as they have an explicit horror element to them (e.g. Unsolved Mysteries and MTV's Fear).
    3. Mini/Limited-Series: This leans on subjectivity. I say the show is safe so long as it has an actual season. It's not just an event or multi-part TV movie. I'm not gonna give you a minimum episode count, just take it for what you will and vote accordingly.
    4. Not quite horror?: It's also kind of subjective, but think of it this way: If you go to a horror convention, is there a decent chance of seeing merchandise/cosplayers based on this show? You're not going to find someone dressed as Horatio Caine but you may find a Fox Mulder or Rod Serling.
    5. Don't think those types of show belong on this list? Make sure you're voting for the ones you do believe belong and try to knock those guys off the list. That's why it's a vote!
  3. REPOSTING: Do us a solid and DO NOT DO IT. Please. Ctrl F, dudes! If someone's already listed your favorite, cry a little inside and then go on with your life. Any dupes will be removed--and their names submitted for sacrifice.

  4. VOTING: If a show doesn't match up with the criteria above, please REPORT it; downvotes DO NOT TALLY. Vote up the shows you think are the best. Do not downvote or report something because you haven't seen or heard of it, or because you don't like it. HOWEVER, AGAIN, if something legitimately does not belong on the list because it's somehow an invalid entry, then report away and then move on.

You have until the end of the month to submit and vote as explained above. If you submit a title (or titles) early (and I do suggest that you do so), I strongly suggest checking back before the tally for any movies that may have been missed.
