I’m a sucker for chase scenes! It’s gives me the biggest adrenaline rush to see the protagonist fighting for their life against imminent danger⚠️

My Top 3 Chase Scenes (in no particular order) :

•Prom Night (1980) WENDY - Anne Martin

•ISKWYDLS (1998) KARLA - Brandy

•Scream 2 (1997) GALE - Courtney Cox

WENDY kept me at the edge of me seat. There was no huge score to accompany the scene, it was just a good old fashioned chase that left you hoping she’d somehow survive. Hearing their footsteps as they ran from room to room in the school creeped me OUT! You almost believe she’s going to escape! This movie deserves more attention!

KARLA doesn’t get the credit she deserves for being a final girl. She showed strength, wit, and composure while falling through glass, jumping off roofs, and climbing through holes in the door! Her chase scene made up for the poor plot of this sequel. Hard to believe this was a teen singing sensation playing such a fierce role! Brandy definitely shocked me! She’s also the first black girl to survive a horror film!

GALE is just fast on her feet. She’s also a quick thinker due to her years in journalism. When she comes back towards the glass to find Ghostface standing there, I hold my breath EVERYTIME as if I’ve never seen this movie! I love that she rarely asks for help in distress she’s just focused on escaping. This scene made the movie for me. She creeps around the audio room and they play this cat and mouse game that makes you feel as if you’re right there. My favorite part is when she pushes the stand to block Ghostfaces entry and he compensates by throwing everything he can at the thick glass, unable to break it!
