I can’t believe how many recommendations this got. What an absolutely awful film. The Faux documentary angle is something I’ve never been a big fan of but how did anyone ever mistake this for a real documentary? It looked so weird and cheap.

The lead up was an hour of nothing, it added absolutely nothing to the overall film.

The actors were 50/50 with the roommate being not very good to the private investigator being a downright terrible actor.

And finally the last 20 min, the knife wielding guy in a Karl Havoc mask. It was so goofy, it looked so ridiculous.

Bonus points:

• the investigator saying that the hand was severed so violently, cut to, the reporter saying the hand was a very clean cut.

• Beverly trying to download the videos and instead deleting them lol.

• the idea of this severely deformed insane hermit driving the truck

• “Only known screenshot of the last terrifying video upload” cut to Gary sitting in his room lookin doofy as usual

• Showing the fuxkin screenshot another 2 times like it adds anything at all
