I've been thinking a lot about how crucial the 'big reveal' of the monster is in horror movies. It's that make-or-break moment where a film can either ascend into legendary status or plummet into the abyss of forgettable flops...
For instance, 'The Langoliers' from 1995. You expect something super scary, and what do you get? Hilarious CGI meatballs pretending to be monsters. It's like waiting for a horror show and ending up with a bad comedy. Such a letdown!
And don't get me started on 'IT' and the giant spider which felt like a cheesy B-movie moment!
What's your pick for a horror movie that just couldn't deliver on the monster reveal?
