Just finished my first playthrough and I've got some questions to say the least.
First of all, I loved the game (the overall ending as far as the world building story left a little to be desired and felt a bit rushed to me but in terms of Aloy's story it was exceptional.
I tried to find all the data points but I still missed a few and maybe my questions are answered there.
Spoilers below:
I'm a bit confused by Eleuthia/cradle/Mother's as the spawn point of civilization in the area. The hills only show a small group I'm sure (hoping) as a representative sample of the teenagers with a kindergarten education (bearing in mind in some areas kindergarten is counted more as pre-school by US standards and the company that made the game is Belgian I think so that could be a slight change. So how did these kids with no survival training get unleashed on the world, filled with machines survive to spawn these tribes? How many years/generations are we at the time in the game from the point the kids are released? Or are the Carja, the Osseram and the Banuk all from different cradles which would make more sense from an anthropology perspective? I had been under the impression that there was only the one Cradle facility in the game area and all of the tribes evolved somehow from those original teenagers in the holos. However, I do admit that those teens may have just evolved into the Nora. I understand there were other cradles around the world and possibly in the US but I thought in the geographic
Also, at the ending when HADES somehow escapes the core and shoots off in the sky to Sylens...what?? Was that supposed to be a visual representation of an electronic signal floating around the sky because...I'm honestly a bit lost there. Anyone have any clarification or even head cannon on that?
I understand this is a game but there was so much excellent exposition of the past world and how it goes in to the game present world, I just felt there were a few loose ends that could have been explained a bit better but I admit I missed a few days points and somehow one holo so something may have been in those bits.
