I was buzzing for Horizon the moment they announced it, but I was so annoyed at the subtitle ‘Zero Dawn’ - such an obviously sequel baiting ‘Origins’ type subtitle, which was unnecessary and aimed squarely at marketing. I thought it was generic and bland and meant nothing. Just give me ‘Horizon’, I thought. That’s all I need.
Tonight, twenty hours into my (incredible) first playthrough, (finally able to sink the time into it after a busy couple of years) I got the first hint of what Project: Zero Dawn really is in game, and I am hooked. The first time I heard the words in a sound recording, I actually got chills. Turns out they did know what they were doing after all. And turns out I did not.
