Hey r/Hookah!
Relatively seasoned Hookah smoker here, been smoking for the last 3 years, owned my own for the last 2.5 years. Have a few questions for you guys about some popular opinions held here.
Why Tangiers, and not starbuzz or something similar? A friend of mine smoked Tangiers and it was quite a good smoke and flavor, but just as comparable (in my opinion) to the thickness and flavor I can achieve with starbuzz in an Egyptian bowl.
Second, I notice the crap taste that gets added in from using quicklites, but never really liked them since they SEEMED to lose their heat a lot quicker. A recent post made me rethink that. Could it have been I was just trying fake naturals?
Also, I know the love for a quality Hookah stem. I own one I believe to be quality, a 36" shakil temsaah made of bronze, and smoke some of my friends that have a km, which I love. I was wondering though, a few of my friends have bought Chinese knockoffs, and I've smoked them and CAN tell the crappy difference. Why is that? Bad airflow? Cheaper build? I agree a quality Hookah is worth it, just wondering if anyone knew the Science of why.
Thanks!
