My previous experience has been a seldom visit to a hookah bar over the years. From my hazy memory, it was highly enjoyable with strong flavor produced.
I decided I wanted my own hookah recently, and after tons of research (mostly from this sub, love this place) I got a decent setup with the Quasar Raas sitting on top.
The shisha I have tried to far, in order from most flavorful to least flavorful are:
Fumari Ambrosia.
Fumari Spiced Chai.
Azure Cola.
Serbeteli Iced Mint Lemon.
Serbeteli Banana Shake.
Tangiers Orange Soda.
I picked those flavors as I had seen a lot of recommendations for them.
Additionally, ive noticed I can extract the most flavor when I do a fluff pack. I literally use my fingers to separate the shisha as finely as I can, almost down to individual flakes of tobacco, and let gravity drop it into the bowl. Then when I have about 23-25 grams, I very lightly press down until it is below the rim, leaving a slight gap for the top of the Raas HMD.
Im using 3 normal sized CocoUrth charcoals to start, giving plenty of time to heat up.
Even so, my strongest flavor (Ambrosia) is just...ok?
When I remember smoking hookah back in the day at the bar, I felt like it was much more discernible and impactful flavor wise.
Am I remembering the past with rose tinted glasses, and am chasing a fabricated illusion with how tasty the smoke is supposed to be?
Is there something wrong with my pack?
Can you guys recommend any shisha that is gonna knock my socks off flavor wise?
Thanks for reading.
