Steam cleaning hookah and cleaning hookah bowl with coals
Post Body

Hey guys on the recommendation of this page I bought the following steam cleaner in order to clean my washable hoses, stem and base. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EYHAGS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am noticing it cleans pretty well but sometimes it still has a lingering smell from the previous smoked flavor. I don't see too many posts on this but what can I do to fully clean this thing and get rid of the smell? Lemon juice soaking inside first or vinegar maybe and then running the steamer? I'd love to know more about how to completely use this as it is a new process for me.

Also I've heard about using an existing coal (Soaked in water) to clean the soot off of an existing bowl......this sounds confusing to me......anyone ever used like a pumice stone or something like that? Using a coal which goes black to clean existing residue seems a bit counter productive.

Any help, suggestions, videos etc. Would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
