... after waiting 6 days ANXIOUSLY to arrive at my door step (along with a Kaloud Lotus, the Roi smoke tray, and replacement tip for my Dream Hose), I get a notice it was delivered. But, alas, it was signed by someone I didn't recognize and the location was "dock". Well, I don't have anything more than a doorstep. So I hit up UPS and ask them about it, but they just tell me to file a claim. But before they do, they give me the address of where it was delivered. Only 5 miles away? No problem, I'll just run over there with the delivery confirmation and my ID and get it, right?
Well, it would have been that easy if it hadn't been delivered to an Amazon.com distribution center. Yeah, this purchase was totally not Amazon-related so I have no idea why they randomly decided to send it there! After waiting 30 minutes for someone to find my package, I'm then told it's buried along with the other 21,000 UPS packages they received that day... but they should find it by the morning. They ask for my email and phone number, and I walk away empty-handed but knowing I can wait one more night.
Today rolls around and nothing. No call. No email. So I go back to the warehouse, but the lady handling it has left for the day. And of course it's the weekend so they won't be around till Monday. So now I'm just mad. I head over to UPS to file the claim, but it won't let me because it "hasn't been 24 hours yet." First of all, yes it has been. And two, if you see a package is delivered to the wrong address there is no reason on earth you should wait 24 hours to get UPS involved.
Well, I'm just furious with everyone at this point, so I get on the phone and talk to a real live human at UPS tonight. They send me to a claim investigator who does a great job. She calls the warehouse while I'm still on the phone with her, but since she doesn't get a hold of anyone she has to open a formal investigation. She contacts 5starhookah for me and lets them know what's going on. So far at least that side of UPS has seemed to be productive.
So here I sit. Waiting to finally retire this lame little travel hookah and get some serious cloud business going on up in here. I know it's not the typical hookah story, but I haven't been able to vent to anyone who actually cares and knows what it's like to anxiously await a serious piece!
TL;DR: UPS delivers my Roi UFO to a local Amazon warehouse for no reason whatsoever where it is buried with 21,000 other packages that arrived that day. Amazon says they'll find it by the next day, but never responds. Opened up case with UPS after fighting them because it "hadn't been 24 hours" when it had been. Sitting here with a crappy hookah hoping that I see my Roi... ever.
Also a HUGE thanks to /r/hookah for being such a great resource. I ended up getting turned on to Roi and ultimately choosing this model because of the good things I read here.
