My 1986 vt700c is having issues where the front cylinder doesn't fire at low rpms. It will only kick in around 2-3k rpm and then it goes as normal until the rpms drop again. It will also fire for 3-4 seconds on startup, and when you let off the throttle, it will continue firing for a bit and then it stops. I've run seafoam through the carbs, and I've checked the plugs and ignition coils. I'm completely lost on this. Since my truck is in the shop, this is my only option to visit my family for Christmas. Please Help.
Sounds like a fouled jet. When it skips you're at a low rpm. Thats usually a jet issue. Btw I also own an 86 VT700C
