Post Body

back in the day, my dad had an 88 prelude si, and i was wanting to get a project car similar to what he had so that we could both enjoy it. mind you, i’m 18 working a job where i would only be able to bring in MAYBE $1000 a month to spend on a project car. i don’t have a set budget, but i’m trying to get a prelude for just about as cheap as possible, but i’d like some advisement on if this is a good route to go. i know several things would need replacing, repairing, but i’m not sure the degree of repairs this thing would need. i’d love if it actually does run okay, and i can gradually build my way up to a (somewhat) perfectly running prelude, but i’d rather not buy the car just for it to sit until i gather everything i need for it to be running. never worked on engines, transmissions, but just about everything else i’m familiar with. my uncle is a mechanic so i’m sure he could help with potential major issues if this car has any, but overall i’d like to no if this is an investment worth making. thanks all.
