I'm thinking about investing in a roof rack with a roof box for my 2011 Honda Fit. I've looked at Thule, Rhino, and Yakima and they all come out to $800-1300 for a complete setup. This is pretty pricey for me, so I've been debating it a lot.
I go camping quite often, and in the winter I sleep in my car. It's become a real hassle to move stuff around every night and I like the idea of putting my equipment in a roof box and also being able to add a roof bike rack.
*Has your rack affected your gas milage a lot?
*If you have a setup, what box and rack do you have?
*If you have a box, do you leave it on 24/7? I don't have a place to store it, so I'd need to leave it on.
