Low MPGs on manual transmission

Post Body

According to the computer when I fill up the tank. I get an estimate of 310 miles (28-29 MPGs) on my 2019 honda fit sport manual transmission with 49k miles. after every use, the MPGs drop to 26-27 and gives me an estimate of 250ish miles.

What could be the problem here? Could it be my driving? Giving it too much gas getting into 1st gear? Over revving when downshifting? I usually switch gears on 3,000-4,000 RPMs.

This is my first manual car and I've owned it for 5 months and so far I've put 2k miles on it.
