TLDR broke shift linkage it got stiff to shift through PRNDL AND SO I REPLACED THE SHIFT LINKAGE NOW CAR WORKS STEP BY STEP UP TOP OR ABOUT CLOSE TO A TUTORIAL.

Need a fix? Are mechanically inclined? Realistically it was easy given yours is an automatic? I just removed the interior panels for the center console.

6 screws, 3 on each side. Shifter stays in place plastic around it lifts up. The cubby if you got the cup holders will come off but the cup holders remain with 4 screws

The hand brake and middle box compartment is held by 2 screws from my doings both at home and at the junkyard. It was 1 by the front seat mover handle for the seat position. The other behind the seat by the right rail. You'll see it.

Remove the other two on the other side it should just smack right off carefully. Of course.

I'd remove the Shifter Knob by now. It's 2 screws on on each side you won't kiss em. Lol miss em. Careful there's a piece thats inside it's white that goes on the shift handle don't lose it. Now that pushes the middle button on the knob into the spring so don't loose the spring or white little piece.

The rest was more complex as there was a couple cables one for a light for the PRNDL. AND THE OTHER WAS A WIRE HARNESS just being held in by a tab on the PRNDL cover.

The light twist out and to the left. Inserting back is the same but twist to the right.

The connector harness is held there by a mini clip. Just pry it a bit and release the taped cable.

And just remove the 3 Phillips head screws or maybe you'll have 3 10 mm according to a forum I read. But depends on the year my 99 had it with the Phillip heads screws.

After it should slide up . Remember there's Cables so try not to go too fast if you didn't remove it you could snap them

THERES A U CLIP WITH A DOT IN THE MIDDLE. MY COUPE HAD IT HIDING BEHIND THE CUBBY AND CUP HOLDERS

I REMOVED THAT U CLIP AND IT WAS FREE. Shifting like nothing up and down oh yeah ;) lol

Down below the car. If you jacked it up already if not do that. Place jack stands. Be safe. Might wanna wear glasses.

There's two bolts holding my shifter in place from underneath. 10 mm all bolts for the shift LINKAGE 12 mm for the cover that covers the linkage where it meets the transmission. Kind of play around and move it at 70-90 degree angle and pull it through the transmission.

You should see the linkage with a 10 mm bolt and a C CLAMP OR SOME TYPE OF CLAMP CAREFUL THESE ARE A BITCH. LUCKILY DIDNT HAVE THE INFAMOUS B PIN, Aka A Rolling pin or some. That goes in that hole where the 10 mm will come out off. Then your linkage should be FREE!! Hanging from a Support and the middle by the catalytic converter is the place where the bracket bolts up with 2 10 MM BOLTS to the inside.

WENT TO THE JUNKYARD DID THE SAME PROCESS THERE. WAS A BIT DIFFICULT FINDING WHAT I NEEDED hopefully you don't. But I got a good condition one. 20 bucks.

Install is just backwards of this . There's videos and such I should send you what my cable looked like it was a mess

TLDR I REPLACED THE SHIFT LINKAGE NOW CAR WORKS STEP BY STEP UP TOP OR ABOUT CLOSE TO A TUTORIAL.
