So this is a post to measure folks actual thoughts on the marine frigate, as there are soo many memes and jokes about collectors nicking ships back to the mothership and how much fun it is, but is it all just for that aspect? Do people not like it as a ship? As a design? Or is it just against the fun of straight stealing ships?
I ask as frankly I love marine frigates, they augment strike groups allowing for greater adaption to threat and to punch upwards, along with the other sneaky stuff you can get away with. The fact it doesn't have to return its target to the mothership to be captured allows for immediate battle line changes. Considering the smaller carrier focuses and single fighter designs, doesn't this fit the goal?
I'm curious what folks thoughts are as im concerned I missed the point in the cloud of nostalgia rooted jokes and how that may have tinged development as I understand stealing ships the old fashioned way will be coming back.
