Are expensive fiber optic HDMI cables better than cheaper ones?

Post Body
I need a 12m fiber optic cable to connect my projector to my AV receiver and it seems I can pay 40€ for one or I can pay 100€ for one... I previously bought one for 60€ as I didn't want to go cheap, (I didn't want to go for the most expensive either) but I have regular dropouts with it. The company I bought it from replaced it, but its still happening. After troubleshooting everything else I am lead to believe the new cable must also be at fault.
Am I just unlucky or should I be going for a 100€ cable?
