I have the newest version of the Nvidia Shield TV Pro and when I bought it (to my knowledge) it was the only media player that would allow me to stream 4k movies etc without losing any audio quality as it allows the full atmos sound that is encoded in movie files to be output to my AV receiver without any processing.

Is there an alternative media player that does this and also works with Plex too?

I love the shield in principle but have had nothing but issues with it. The main one being that whenever I watch on my projector it loses signal perhaps 5 times during a 1hr show, giving me a black screen for a few seconds before finding the signal again, and its really annoying. I even bought a new projector thinking that might be the problem but the same thing still happens with the new one and I've tried replacing the cables etc too.

So is there a better alternative? I'm in Europe if that matters. Thanks
