I have a Denon X3600 A/V receiver which has 3 HDMI outputs: Monitor 1 (ARC/eARC), monitor 2, and Zone 2.
I use an Nvidia Shield for all of my viewing apps and needs, and I have an XBox 1X. These both go into my A/V receiver and then I use the ARC/eARC HDMI output to go to a projector.
I now want to add a TV and I don't plan on using the TV for any apps, I will still use my Nvidia Shield for this.
So if I add a TV, would it be as simple as just using the Monitor 2 HDMI output on the receiver and going into the TV? I'm guessing the ARC feature won't matter because I am using the Shield for apps and thus sound?
Would it make more sense to use the monitor 2 HDMI output for the projector and the ARC HDMI output for the TV, just in case I do watch something from a TV app?
My Atmos chain won't be effected no matter which output is used for each device right? My understanding is that ARC is only used for taking sound back from the device, so wouldn't be needed for the projector, is that correct?
