Post Body

WOW I am so mad. And so happy that I found a place that can possible help me. So going to rant a bit and hopefully someone can say that I am dumb and someone else can tell me what I should do. And then get a couple of downvotes

So I have this shitty receiver and some speakers set up in a nice 5.1 surround set up I have my phone hooked up through phono works great I have my smart tv hooked up through a random RCA And throw my computer in there to another input My issue is I this receiver is old as hell pioneer vsx 402

Now it says it has surround capabilities but the rear speakers lack hard for the tv and phone (thats because of RCA i think). And surround doesn't work with my computer (thats probably because it doesnt output dolby atmos) --------------------------------rants over--------------------------------

I am looking for a receiver that isn't 1,000 that can handle surround. I don't care about the tv being actually surround. I mostly want my computer to produce good surround though analog (because I believe I read analog is better sound quality than digital) for my shitty music production hobby. If its relevant I don't need hdmi ports, I don't care for Bluetooth, don't care for FMS or any fancy stuff. Just good sound quality for my intentions

And thank you so much for reading this I hope everything read was relevant to my desires and I don't sound demanding or like a "Karen"
