I recently bought Elac Walnut UB5's for $250 to be used for my PC setup. I decided I needed an amp/dac, but rather than go with small footprint, I think I am leaning towards a receiver.
In my living room, I currently am using a Denon S730H for my 5.1.2 setup.
I have decided to buy an X1400 from A4L and swap my receivers so that I will have better audyssey in the living room, and I can still have the S730H in my PC setup as it will power the UB5's just fine.
Before I buy this now, does anyone have any other input? I don't want to be blowing a ton of unnecessary money. I have seen people recommending cheaper receivers before, but will they truly run my UB5's at a good volume for PC gaming/music/movies? or is it just best to do what I am planning.
The receiver is a bit big, but I like that it supports adding a sub later, passthrough for other consoles, etc..
Open to any and all suggestions before I click the buy button!
