This is for an eventual 2.1 setup for my PC which will be used for gaming, youtube, movies, and music (in that order from most usage to least).

I am trying to decide between the Kef Q100 or the Elac B6. I just had purchased the R1700BT powered speakers on amazon but will be returning those as I have decided that Passive speakers is more my style.

I would most likely use a receiver on my desk for the speakers and eventually I would add a sub to complete a 2.1 setup.

Side Question - Instead of a receiver, is it better to go with a dac/amp and if so does anyone have recommendations?

Yes I am asking in r/budgetaudiophile but you guys here in r/hometheater really helped me with my setup for my TV so I'd love your input here as well.

This decision is driving me crazy and I want to start saving up now for something im going to love.
