I hope someone here can help me out. Having an issue where my center channel doesn't play correctly.
PC to AVR (pioneer Elite X805) to TV. The issue has to do with center speaker actually playing from the left speaker, unless it's Atmos encoded.
In windows if i choose 5.1 or 7.1 or Dolby Atmos or DTS:X as the input and play a demo on youtube or video games. The center channel comes through left speaker when it should be center, absolutely nothing is coming out of the center during this. If I use the Dolby app and do the 7.1.4 test then the center is recognized, or if I play a movie encoded in atmos.
My current speaker setup is 3.1.2. I thought maybe the heights where causing an issue but that didn't fix it. That just made me lose my Dirac settings. The only way to get the center to work as it should in the games or the YouTube 5.1 tests is to switch windows to stereo (pcm 2.0).
One thing of note, if I switch over to nvidia shield pro and do the same youtube demo, then the center works as it should.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
