Me again, remember I don't know shit about fuck.
My house came with a pair of Sonos connect amps. I believe it's Gen 1.
One of them does not work anymore.
I don't need anything special just a working unit that I can control with my Alexa to play Spotify through.
I looked and I can find a refurbished one for hundred bucks or a refurbished Gen 2 for $150. Only the Gen 1 appears to have connectors for the speaker cables. The Gen 2 and the new report only have component inputs, I believe.
Am I limited to a Gen 1 to replace this with or is another option that allows me to connect the speakers to the amplifier?
Related question....
The amplifier has just the left and right speaker wires connected to it but it controls speakers in the living room right next to it, the garage which is next door, as well as the hallway upstairs.
There is no control room where these wires are accessible to check if they are spliced together although I am assuming that they are somewhere in the house.
If I want to control separate parts of the house separately then is the only way to do this to find where they are connected or is there an easier way to do that? Thank you so much.
