Post Body

Hello everyone hello everyone I'm new here and please forgive me if I make a few newbie mistakes. I have a 7.1 head unit it's a pioneer VSX-1014TX I have had it for approximately 3 years now got it used. So even though it is very in-depth and somewhat complicated as far as all the functions that it has I am fairly competent in operating my machine here LOL Over the years I've noticed that it generates quite a bit of heat even though it is on an open shelf with nothing above it or obstructing any of the vents. I have often run a auxiliary fan I.e computer fan with a homemade shroud and power supply sitting on top of the unit. This always looks kind of bulky and ugly so recently I acquired a couple of very small fans and a fixed them to the top of the unit with zip ties doesn't seem to do a whole lot. I'm wondering would it be better to mount them underneath blowing up right now I have them out on top pulling up or should I mount them inside blowing down the center of the heat sink / transistor alley I just made that up LOL anyway I'm not the best at punctuation now you speak to spell and I probably all over the place please just try and overlook that and if you have any insight let me know. I appreciate it guys thank you.
