Speaker gauge size for my system?

Hey guys,
Going with either the R11s or Q950 for my tower LR and R6 meta for center.
I will also have 4x R3 metas for my rears and sides.
All powered with emotiva amp and Marantz cinema 40 as my pre amp.
What gauge should I consider using for my speaker wires? Nothing will be more than 50ft.
What about 2 vs 4 conductors ? Can someone explain this to me?
