New Center Channel Speaker

Post Body

I’m running a Yamaha TSR5810 with an older Bose cube 5.1. I do not have a Bose sub, I’m using an Energy 10” sub. The Bose speakers specifically the center channel sound like tin cans. I just replaced the center with a DT pro center 1000. It’s way better but I expected to be more impressed. Sometimes sound like I’m missing part of the range. Just doesn’t have that punch I wanted. I may return it and get something better and bigger. The Bose cubes are quite terrible, what’s a decent upgrade for those? Are there any recommended settings for the 5810?

Also I just realized that the hdmi cable running to my Vizio P Quantum is not eARC. It’s for just ARC and rated for 10.2 Gbps. I pretty much only stream from the tv, should I get a better cable?
