Inherited apple tree issues?

Hi all! Looking for some help on possible remedies for fruit trees. Inherited a couple apples that all seem to be struggling a bit. Created a mulched area around them instead of grass, but wondering if I could get some more help or thoughts. Fertilizing as well. Located in South Jersey
