Just moved into a house with ADT. How to remove?

I just moved into a house that has an ADT system. Looks like some sort of impassa panel, couple motion sensors (one looks unplugged) and door/window sensors. I never had any intention of keeping the system and I’m obviously not on any sort of contract. Basically, I just want to rip everything out. There’s a big electrical box of shit in one of my closets and I’d rather have someone come get it all but, not for a fee. Am I OK to just kill the power and go to town?
