Home Security and SmartHome
Post Body

I am building a house and the builder offers smarthome equipment when building (2x Alexa's, a kwik set door lock, a zwave switch, a Skybell video doorbell, and a Honeywell thermostat).

Now, I have the choice to go with any home security company I want, but I'm not sure which. ADT seems appealing with their new smarthome connection stuff, but is it worth it? I have a "deal" where they will give me $$$ in equipment, but there is no indication as to what that equipment will cost?

I've though about SimpliSafe, but I dont know how much it integrates with smarthome stuff?

Is it really all the beneficial to have your security and smarthome stuff linked? I'm fairly savvy on smarthome tech, but it seems like with integrating it with security I may be limiting myself?
