Hi,
I have a Hills Reliance R8 Security system and need to replace the backup battery for the alarm.
Current battery is an Axiom 12V-4.5AH VRLA rechargeable battery. I cannot seem to find this battery, nor any info about it anywhere. It's black with white writing and rectangular in shape, the top and bottom are the narrower sides
On the inside of the panel box for the alarm it mentions '12Volt 4 or 6.5 AH Battery'. It also mentions 'To prevent the risk of electric shock always disconnect telephone line prior to service'.
I don't have a connected telephone line, so from what I understand, as long as I unplug the the 2 plugs coming out of the alarm box from the power points they're plugged into, that should be ok, as it's only a 12V battery?
One thing I'm not sure of is whether the battery should have T1 or T2 terminals, after reading a review for this one mentioning it had T2 but most alarms are T1:
The ends of the wires that connect to the 2 battery terminals look a bit like the plugs of a usb cable that plug into a usb port, if that helps.
If the above is not compatible, would there be any suitable alternatives from bunnings, or are any of these be suitable?
Would prefer to purchase one from a reputable bricks and mortar store.

Thanks for your help : )
